About
Your Counsellor
Hi, I’m Chris. I’m an accredited counsellor with a Masters of Counselling. I specialise in counselling for men in regional areas of Australia. I’m here to listen.
I provide counselling for any issues that you might not feel comfortable talking about with others or feel that you need help with. This could include: struggling with anxiety; grief; depression; self-esteem; burn out; feeling stuck; or life transitions. I can help you find the clarity, courage and strength to overcome obstacles, rediscover a sense of purpose and to start living a life where you are excited to get out of bed.
I provide online and telephone counselling for convenience, meaning there is no need to travel anywhere and you can be comfortable in your own home. I am also available after normal work hours meaning you don’t have to take time off work or out of your day’s schedule.
I completed my Masters in Counselling and am registered as a counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Why I Became a Counsellor
Becoming a counsellor was a calling based on my own lived experience. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by pain and despair, to reach a point where life feels unbareable, and to be confused about what do next in life. As a suicide survivor, I faced moments of complete hopelessness, but I also discovered the resilience and strength that can emerge from those dark places. The name More Than This represents my personal belief there is always more to life: more to discover, more to hope for, and more to become.
Through my own journey of recovery I realised how important it is to be truly seen, heard, and supported. I experienced first hand how quality professional guidance can help untangle the thoughts and feelings that seem impossible to manage alone.
I understand how hard it can be to open up, and I approach each session without judgement, and with empathy and respect. Along with my experience and qualifications, my personal journey gives me a deeper understanding into the challenges you may be facing, but more importantly, it fuels my belief in your ability to overcome them.
You’re not alone, and your story is just beginning. Contact me to find a way forward.
